We are often asked; How much does a central vacuum cost to install? The cost of installing a central vacuum system in Auckland in a new build is more cost effective than most people think. The total cost depends on a number of factors such as:

  • Size of the home

  • Complexity of the project

  • The model installed

  • Add on’s such as protective hose socks, kitchen vacpan's, air driven turbo brushes and WallyFlex.

Updated December 2021: For a small home (up to approximately 160sqm) the cost of full installation in Auckland starts at around NZ$2,000 which includes the wall inlets, the hose and accessories set and power unit. When talking with people in the early stages of their new build, we advise them to budget NZ$2,500 for a small home, NZ$3,500 for a medium sized home and NZ$4,500 for a large home. The cost of installing a central vacuum system into an existing house in Auckland is slightly more than a new build due to the additional planning and installation time.

For an existing home, a site visit is needed to determine if installation is possible and come up with a draft plan for installation. Very rarely do we need to remove Gib board or make penetrations in the wall to install the pipework. We have installed thousands of central vacuum systems in Auckland so we have the experience to ensure a cost effective plan is developed for your home.
