Externally vent your central vacuum

Updated: Oct 6, 2023

If your central vacuum system has been installed in your garage or a cupboard within your house you may be able to externally vent it to the outside. Why?

This creates an even cleaner healthier home. With 100% of the air being sucked out of your bedrooms and living areas, the air is then sucked through airtight ducting into a sealed central vacuum. The air is then expelled to the outside.

Because air is being taken out from your home, new air is being introduced. This brings in drier, cleaner air. So while you are vacuuming you are also using your central vacuum as a ventilation system.

The photo below shows our Beam Alliance 625 central vacuum machine, with the muffler going up and into the wall and out to a grill in the soffit.
